Phew! Last birthday that I have to plan for the year! (3 this month!)

We celebrated Zoe's 5th birthday a couple days early today with a party at Chipmunks (kinda like Chuck E Cheese but no pizza). I made her a castle cake...been planning on making it for her 5th birthday since she was 2..lol I must be an incredibly good guesser...because everything we bought her was "JUST WHAT I WANTED" she said!

She's off to school for on Monday (hoorayyy says mum).

Congrats Hannah & Shane!

That's right, our Hannah is a war bride!  She and Shane got married today.  She is now Hannah Pennington.  It was a quick civil ceremony.  They plan to have a "real wedding before God and family" (quote from Hannah) as soon as Shane gets back from Afghanistan. I'm supposed to get pictures.  Shane wore his uniform and Hannah wore a white sun dress.  She didn't want any fuss because she didn't want it to take away from "the real thing".  May 18th as it turns out, was googled and "nothing bad happened on that date".  She didn't want anyone there, or she said everyone would have to be there.  Kind of bittersweet for Mom, but I guess I'm still mother of the bride!

Today is my beautiful son's 6th Birthday! I became a mom for the first time six years ago today to a gorgeous, funny little man who makes me laugh (and holler) everyday. We had his birthday party at McDonald's and I made him a cheeseburger cake! The picture of him with two drinks is SO funny because we have a similar one of him about 2 years old with two milk bottles. He's a multi-tasker! At his party were his friend's Joshua, the tall one on the left and Robert with the big goofy smiley face...that's Sarah in the back and Zoe of course! Was the least effort i've ever put into a party. Thanks McD's!

Hope you've had a great day! I"m hoping age had brought you happiness and maybe a little wisdom....now i'm not saying you were not bright as a kid, but you did "let" me roll you down the stairs in a laundry bag. That had to have been the funniest thing I ever saw. Good times.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBY

Happy birthday "Bub a Lub a Dub"  So you have joined the ranks of the double nickles. It ain't so bad. I have found I can get away with a lot more now because the young crowd says "Oh it's only old man Jim Laverty, no harm"  It is kind of neat. But don't let it get you down because I am still trying new things and wondering when am I going to grow up. So go out have some fun, take license with you new found freedom and enjoy your birthday and all the days to come.
