I guess I'm in a nostalgic mood lately - Jim do you remember taking apart the model train when you were a kid? Well, my grandsons, Aaron and Kyle, got busy taking apart every small train, truck and car they own that had screws in them, yesterday!!! I encouraged them to try to put them back together but they just looked at me like I had just left the tower of Babel - you know, speaking in an unknown tongue!!! We now have a plastic container of motorized vehicle parts - Barry is in for a surprise when he gets home - they'll probably ask Papa to put them together just so they can take them apart again.
I just sat, watched, and delighted in their determination and sense of discovery - I LOVE being a grandma!!! Deb

Boy do I. I also remember going behind dad when he was at work and re-set all the finishing nails in the molding when he built the room in the basement for Grammy Eileen. I think mom and dad, particularly dad regretted giving me tools for Christmas. I don't think my helping improved on Dad's work.
till to this day, when I make something in my shop I will have a fleeting thought " I need to show this to dad". Then I get that sad feeling.
Hey Deb, who is the blond in the picture with Bryan?
