Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there. England celebrated Mothering day a couple of weeks ago, but we're sticking with the American version. Which means that unlike the States, we can go out to a local restaurant today and it won't be packed! Our plan though, is to do a family cooking challenge again. The menu tonight is Lemongrass soup and barbeque beef. Rick is also making a mushroom soup, but since no one else likes mushrooms, it's all on him.

Showing that we are total food addicts, Rick also got up this morning and made me my favorite breakfast - eggs benedict. But tonight is when the true Mother's Day festivities begin - Julie's honors project is due tomorrow and she needs a little help finishing up.

Happy Mother's Day to all as well. Pam will be treated to her Mothers Day dinner this evening at 6:00 at the famed Suicide Bridge Restaurant. James, Dianna and Maddie will join us. But she started her day with my making her a Cheese Omelette, em, em good.
Now off to Wawa for coffee on the way to church. Instead of flowers Pam wants to go to the Nursery and pick out some shrubs for the flower beds. Some thing I am useless at except to drive, pay and load them. But she has the green thumb and as Dad used to tell me "never try to beat a man at his own game". So I know my limits with plants.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! We had a 4 generation luncheon of hamburgers, hotdogs, and all that goes with it. Steve and his sister Sharon took care of everything. It was wonderful not to have to do a thing! Best of all was to have all 5 grandchildren and the two newest mothers there. We spent just a couple of hours together, but there was a lot of love squeezed into that short time. I sound so old when I say this, but I think the greatest joy of motherhood is grandmotherhood!!

Wow...you're some really lucky women! lol I went with the kids and picked out a very "granny" pair of slippers to keep my feet warm..(brr it's cold here!)..Then we had Shaun's 5th Birthday part at a bicycle park...had about 17 kids and grownups...I'll post some pics later! Anyway..it was a VERY busy mother's day for me! And NO breakfast in bed either..hurrumphf!
