Okay, my turn

My check in time tomorrow is 6:15 am and my surgery is at 8:30. It will take 2-3 hours with an hour in recovery. Please pray for me. I've received a priesthood blessing and I'm sure I'll be fine but I'm as nervous as a kitten. The recovery is going to be long and hard. 6 weeks to 3 months in the brace and NO bending for at least 6 weeks, and they mean NO BENDING! Didn't anyone tell them how good I am at dropping things!!!!!!!

Wow Debby. I thought your surgery was next month. Thanks for correcting that. Pam and I will be praying for you and a speedy recovery. We will also pray for Barry.....;-)
Hey see if they can connect wires to the rod in your back, then you could use it for Wi-fi connection in hotels and such. Or maybe you could hook it up to a battery and it would become a magnet and if you did drop something it would bounce up and land on your back, Oh but then you probably couldn't twist around to grab it...I guess it was not such a god idea.
In all seriousness I wish you well and will pray for you.
Love,
Jim

Good luck Deb. I'm out of the hospital and back home. They let me out the same evening of the procedure. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
Take care and remember the 3rd day out of surgery is usually the worst. Just when you start to think you made a bad decision, you wake up the fourth day and notice you have turned a significant corner. Believe me! I've been operated on so many times I know the drill by heart. Call if it's rough and you need a pep talk.
Love,
Rick
