He's Home!

Rick is back home. Nothing new to report - he still has to wait awhile to get the gall bladder out. Hopefully, he won't have another flare-up.

Good to be back home I'll bet. Hope you get felling better. Good time for you and Joe to practise your guitars.

That's great news. Take it easy Rick...lay off the grease, corn products and anything else that the gall bladder doesn't like. That doesn't mean you won't flare up, but maybe it will give you a fighting chance.

Rick,
Eileen is right. Biscuits and gravy a.k.a. gall bladder gravy, was the straw that broke the camels back for me. To this day I can't eat it, but that is psychological I am sure. Kinda like you and mashed potatoes.
A friend of mine said coffee set him off when he was having problems, but that should not be a problem for you since your are living in the land of tea and honey. Get well my boy and I'll talk to you soon.
PS Boy I hate to admit that Bean is right.....

Things to avoid (i know this from experience!)

dairy (cheese, ice cream...the good stuff)
spicy foods
eggs
peppermint(my final straw was a candy cane)
cinnamon
fatty foods (meats, sausages, gravy etc)

my first ever 'bad' attach was after a chili reyeno (sp?)..it was a pepper stuffed with cheese, surrounded in egg and then fried (asking for trouble)...it was SOOO good ..but not worth it...

then a couple years later it was a candy cane on New Years Eve that made me get my gallbladder removed!

But hey..you can have as many leaves and twigs as you like!!

Love you,
Sandy
