I'm not Joe Biden
But I am Vice President...of Real Estate and Retail Services that is. Thought I'd take a moment and share a little good news with everyone. Last Monday I was called to the big guy's office. I was a little unnerved as he said it was for an HR talk. Oh great! Who did I offend this time with my Laverty mouth, right? Well it seems our corporate office is a mess. I already knew that, but hey, not my department, not my problem...until now. I now have the responsibilities of managing the real estate department and all retail services. That means going from a staff of 4 to having 28 reports. A little overwhelming, but I've kind of got a reputation as the fix it and clean up girl at the credit union. I'd said I was ready for a new challenge; well, now I've got one.

Congrats Eileen. Make sure you do a job on it and not let it do a job on you. As I am sure you know your piers prior to your promotion respected you, now you have become The idiotic company women. Don't let it get you down.
I could go on for hours having been there myself, but always do what is morally,ethically and legally correct. If any decision you make meets that criteria you will never go wrong. Rule with experience and knowledge and lead with compassion.
I am proud of you.
