Hey Everyone,
Sorry I've been absent for awhile. Life has been a little crazy. We took a few days for vacation. We just went to a local lake. Weather in KS is not always as blissful as that of Colorado or Branson. We were only able to boat 1/2 day out of four due to rain and wind. White caps on a lake do not make for great skiing. We ended up coming home Saturday night instead of Sunday because I wasn't feeling well. Monday morning Steve took me to the emergency room with what I thought was severe abdominal pain. After two days in the hospital and much, much dope, they decided my stomache is fine. The good news is my stomache, liver, kidneys, etc. are all in great shape. The muscles on the outside of my ribs have "come loose" from the ribs. Each rib has a nerve that runs from the muscle around the rib, with each move I pull on those nerves. Now I know why people say a broken rib is such a horrible experience. I went back to work on Thursday and of-course had lots and lots to catch up on. Today we had the auction out at Steve's parents house as they prepare to downsize to a patio home. It's 100 degrees out and very humid. I'm still in quite a bit of pain and just plain exhausted. In a couple of hours all the kids are coming over for Madelyn's (my grand-daughter) 5th birthday party. I've told Bethany to prepare the girls that Grammy Eileen won't be up to her usual horse play in the pool. We'll see how well they listen to that! Bottom line is that life is busy just like for all of you, and that's why I haven't been in touch. I'll get more involved in family life again once it doesn't hurt to breathe!

Sorry to hear about your ribs.
But...... I had my mri on my shoulder last tuesday and I am waiting to hear the results. The P.A I saw a few weeks ago told me to make an appointment after the Mri (on the same day and he would go down and read the mri so I didn't have to come back down from Harrogate a 3 hr trip). He said "I don't care if I have to wait around until 9:00 pm, I'll do it" I had the mri went to his office and the office staff greated me with "oh, he's not here. He's working on his out processing. He was going to call you"
Well, not being happy I made them page him only to have him say that he would get the results and call me. I spoke to his immediate superior, an ortho surgeon and he gave me a brief check but I still don't know what the results are.
In the meantime I have had some minor discomfort in my right forearm and yesterday I noticed a couple of acorn size lumps under to surface so I need to see the doctor about that. It's probably just a tumor. I'll keep you posted. Now if you'll excuse me t's time for tea and scones.
Eileen,
You and I talked for almost an hour and you did not say a thing!!!!! Are you trying to be mom or was it the pain killers? I am certainly sorry to hear about your ribs.
Now Rick You A-Hole The English Goblins are paying you back for not returning my phone call. Sorry about your plight, do you need me to make a phone call for you? I have contacts you know!!!!Ha Ha
Have a great Day y'all.
Jimbo
Sorry but We spent a few days in Scotland and got back really late Sunday. After work Monday I went to bed at about 7:30(2:30 pm est)and didn't even check messages. This extensive world travel tends to tire you out.
Jim, Honestly, I just didn't want to talk about it anymore. This has probably been one of the most difficult 12 months of my life. I just didn't want to dump anymore black cloud on anyone. But since we're on the subject...we came home Monday and discovered our pool had collasped/exploded, washed away our sidewalk, landscape timbers, part of our fence, yard...a mid-west tidal wave. What's another three grand? Rick...a little pain in the arm and possible tumors...I have terminal bleeding in my wallet!
