Mom---99.99% free

Just wanted to let everyone know that we took Mom out to a place called Jack's Bay yesterday. It has an absolutely gorgeous beach..and some rocky outcroppings that we climbed onto so she wouldn't just float back to the beach. After we scattered her we threw some rose petals into the water (I'm not sure if you can quite make them out in the photo..but if you click on it, it will enlarge and you can see them clearly) and watched as they floated in and out with the crashing waves and eventually disappeared.

I kept a small pinch of her for each of us kids (I don't know what the karma is involved with that but I think she'll understand).

We decided to go out that morning and we told the kids we were going on a long drive to the beach. After telling them Shaun started talking about Nana Lyn a lot....about how much he missed her and missed talking to her on the phone. He even went looking around the house for presents to give to her. I told him he can still talk to Nana Lyn any time he wants to, but he said she can't talk back because she doesn't have a mouth. Anyway the funny part is...we never told the kids WHY we were going to the beach. Nathan thought it was a little 'spooky'... I really do believe Mom's watching over the kids.
While I was on the blog typing this up I found a comment from Mom to me and Treena that I'd never seen before...and I think she made sure I found it (crying all over again!)

Love to you all and Happy New Year,
Sandy

I'm sure Lyn is watching over all of you. Steve and I took off on a little road trip yesterday. We do that sometimes just to look at a new area or whatever and it gives a chance to talk uninterupted by the world. I was talking about your Mom and saying that there were so many places she wanted to go and see and I wished she'd had the chance. I know she is thrilled with the send off she has received and you know, now I believe she can travel where ever and whenever she wants without all the earthly considerations. I think you've established only good karma Sandy. I'm proud of you.

Sandy, you choose a perfect place. I wish I cold have been there in some ways but I don't know how you had the courage. I hope everyone remembers that Lyn is free from all physical problems. I know there were a lot of places she wanted to go (don't we all except Rick who has been there but I'M NOT JEALOUS lol) but she is seeing and experiencing things we can't even dream of. There are a lot of good books out there about people wo have experienced the other side and of course we have the scriptures to explain what happens next. When everyone is thinking about the same person on a significant day such as this, it is NOT a coincidence! Eileen I believe Lyn may be her grandchildren's guardian angel. I think Daddy gave instruction to Kyle before Kyle got here because he is so much like Dad it's scarey!
Anyway, as we continue to mourn we should also take time to rejoice. We mourn for our loneliness and loss but we shouldn't mourn for Lyn. I still mourn because I miss Mom and Lyn and Biff has been on my mind SO much, but I mourn because I feel sorry for myself not them.
