Sorry guys, but it's kind of difficult to juggle a husband in the hospital, all the usual weekend errands, two cross country events, a birthday party and the blog.
But enough whining, you guys just want to know what's going on.
Rick was in a lot of pain, but they've finally gotten his meds right and he was much better today. They are doing a CT scan tonight. The most likely cause is gallstones, which I pretty much hope it is, as they could then get the gall bladder out and problem solved.
If it's not the gall bladder, it's a mystery and they probably just get this attack under control and wait to see if it happens again - not a pretty prospect.
In any event, he'll be in the hospital until mid-week at least. He doesn't want any phone calls right now - he can't concentrate and doesn't feel like working to carry on a conversation. I'll let you know if he changes his mind.
Jim - he did say that if you wait a couple of weeks he can tell you a lot about the NHS now!

Glad they're working to find the cause. I agree...I hope it's the gall bladder. I know you're busy Donna (living with a Laverty has that affect on people's lives) and we really appreciate the update. We're worriers by genetics. What can I say? Tell Rick to hang in there and we totally don't want to talk to him when he's writhing in pain anyway.
i'm amazed he's still got a gallbladder anyway! Hope that's it..why's it taking so long to get a scan?? So frustrating! Send my love his way..make sure to take some time to take care of yourself!!! Make an extra large bowl of popcorn tonight (that's what i'd do)!! lol
hugs,
sandy
