Helloooo Y'all

Hi guys...

Sooo I've finally joined the family of somewhat dubious genetics and need to start taking blood pressure medications. (yay me)

The dr tried me on a very low dose of Inhibace, and ACE inhibitor...which has brought my BP down to normal ...but it looks as though it's possibly making my LFT's (liver enzymes) increase dramatically ...so no good.

For those of you on BP meds...can you possibly tell me what you take, and how it's working for you? Also..what BP meds if any you've had a bad response to??

Thanks...love and hugs,
Sandy

Sandy,

Niphederpine 90 mg. per day works for me.

And so it begins...

I'm too lazy to run upstairs and see what I'm taking, but, I will tell you that I've tried the lowest does of a few things, and they knock me on my butt! Like pressure 85/60. They now have me cutting a lowest does in half. Without it I'm too high, with it, I still border on low. Go figure, a Laverty that doesn't fit in with a "standard" dose.

Sandy, Do not take Atenolol, it literally put me on my butt. Passed out while riding my motor cycle, could have been real bad, but it did get me a free ride in a helicopter on Christmas Eve a couple of years ago.
HCZ will take out some fluid that will help then a cocktail of others with it like Accupril 20 mg twice a day will help.
Other than that loose weight something I minor in and remove stress another success in my life and finally exercise, I master at that. But most of all keep a check on it. The quiet effects of high blood pressure can be devastating.

PS Oh blood letting works too
